MONFRAGÜE’S NATURAL PARK TOUR; THE PREY BIRDS SEARCHING.

Description: We will depart from Trujillo towards the Natural Park, one of the best in the world as far as ornithology is concern. With a representation of more than 280 vertebrate species, you can find some of the most significant species present in Spanish, and of course a great number of Prey Birds. This tour will take us on to a landscape full of olive trees, small cultivated areas, pasture lands and woodlands. It is a great place for Prey Birds observation but also Vulture, Eagle; such as the "aguila culebrera" (snacked eagle), "aguila calzada", "milano real" (royal kite) etc., can be observed. Depending upon the season some of them can be easily seen.
At some stages you will leave the minivan for a walk to some particular interest places, so that you can have time to watch the birds. At certain spots, it is possible to watch other birds like the "abejaruco" (bee-eaters), "rabilargos" (long-tailed magpies), "abubillas" (hoopoe birds), etc... It is quite surprising how many bird species can be observed in a single day thanks to the experience of the guide who perfectly knows the area and the birds inhabiting it. He will also show you places where the Mediterranean woodland has been preserved almost intact.
