Description: Departure from the holiday-resorts to the village Macher where information and instructions will be given about the tour.
From Macher through Tias and Masdache to La Degollada with a stop at a mansion that was destroyed by lava during the eruptions of the volcano Tinguaton in 1824. We continue via Uga to the village Tinguaton. Over dirt-tracks we drive around the lavafields of the volcano Montana Quemada (foto-stop) to the valley Chibusque . In this valley a 15-minutes walk to see the devastations caused by the last eruptions but we also can see how first vegatation is making its come-back .
We drive up the volcano Tisalaya with an informative stop, and a beautifull view over the natural park of the volcanos and the vineyards La Geria. Near the village La Vegueta a stop at a local pottery. From La Vegueta to Tiagua and then over dirt-tracks to the former capital Teguise where there is a foto/toilet-stop. From Teguise by dirt-tracks to the chappel Las Nieves with a stop at more than 600 meters altitude and a spectacular view over the west-coast and the neighbouring islands.
We continue to the highest peak with a short foto-stop with view over the valley of the 1000 palmtrees and village Haria. Lunch in the village Haria. After lunch via villages Arrieta and Mala to the salt-flats Los Agujeros with an informative stop. Through villages like Guatiza and Teseguite to village Nazaret. Here the last stop when we visit the restaurant/museum Lagomar, which used to be the house of the actor Omar Shariff.
