Description: Construction of the Alhambra was initiated by the founder of the Nasrid dynasty, Mohamed Ibn Alhamar, in the 13th Century on the Red Hill (Assabika) that dominates Granada.
“La Alcazaba” was built on first place and later on the Royal Palace and the Medina (also called Alhambra), residence of the courtiers. Later Emperor Charles V ordered the construction of a Palace in the same place.
We shall visit: Alcazaba, the Mexuar Palace, El Serrallo, El patio de los Arrayanes, La Sala de la Barca, the Ambassador’s Hall, El Peinador de la Reina, El Patio de los Leones, La Sala de Los Abencerrajes, place of tragic legends, the Royal baths, Lindaraja, the Partal Gardens and the Palace of Charles V.
We will continue to the Generalife, which together with the Alhambra was the Moorish Kings of Granada pleasure area; the wonderful gardens with abundant and varied glories (water fountains), must be highlighted
We will also visit “El Patio de la Acequia” and “El Patio de la Sultana”.
Granada is one of the most beautiful places of Andalusia and has a huge historical and monumental heritage.
